Tic-tac-toe was played in the Roman Empire during the first century BC. Tic-tac-toe is also known as Noughts and crosses or Xs and Os. It is a paper-and-pencil game for two players, X and O, who take turns marking the spaces in a 3×3 grid. The player who gets three of their marks in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row wins the game.

"X", has 3 possible "Best" positions to mark during their first turn. The corner, edge, or center. Player X can win or force a draw from any of these starting marks; however, playing the corner gives the opponent the smallest choice of options to which must be played correctly to avoid losing
